If you are looking for a great romance that will sweep you away, this book is for you. Lily is likeable and complex, and Nick is a sexy hero worthy of falling in love with. The story was well written and the tropical settings are a welcome escape from cold winter days.Kate Randle is a great story teller. I enjoyed this book and can't wait to read more from her.

This book is about Lily and Nick. Lily is still getting over her divorce from six months ago, and looking for a complete change. So Lily goes to apply for a job as a bouquet manager on a cruise ship. She runs into very handsome Nick and when he asks her to dinner, she finds herself agreeing, which is very unlike herself. Nick, is a ladies’ man who is used to one night stands. He has promised his father to straighten up his act, and he is trying, but he feels Lily is worth pursuing, even though she is very different from the normal women he is attracted to. Lily agrees to spend the night with Nick, despite her misgivings, but when she awakes in the middle of the night she feels it was a huge mistake. Now can Nick win her back over with everything he has going on in his family? Will Lily get over her divorce enough to trust again, and is Nick worthy of that trust? Read and see.
This book is great. WARNING The book has sexual situations in the book. This is for mature readers. The characters seem to come alive very quickly. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a second time romance. This is also a great story for anyone who loves their bad boy makes good.

I’ve been waiting my whole adult life to read a romance book whose setting was on a cruise ship. Finally, I found one and it was amazingly accurate. The writing style was excellent. I could visualize the ship and it felt like I was there. It’s been six months since my last cruise and now I want to go on another one to find my own man just like the hero, Nicholas Becket. I refuse to accept that a man like the character Nicholas Becket doesn’t exist somewhere and I need him to come take me away.
Nicholas Becket is a blonde haired, blue eyed, physically fit, humble millionaire. He also just happens to be the ship’s captain. I love a man in uniform and Nicholas Becket was described as a fine looking gentleman. Did I mention he was the captain of a cruise ship?
Lily was looking for a change in her life and she deserved some happiness after what she’s gone through. I really liked Lily and I liked her more when she was with Nicholas. They brought out the good in each other. I respected that she was a hard worker and not interested in Nicholas’s money or what he could do for her. Lily had pride and self-respect, qualities I admire in a heroine. I was envious of all her good fortune. Perhaps she could have been a bit more hard to get but let’s be real, we’re talking about Nicholas. It’s easy to judge someone when we’re not in their shoes. I let that quality flaw in Lilly slide since we’re talking about my ideal book boyfriend.
Honestly, the plot was fairly predictable but I didn’t care. I thoroughly enjoyed the blossoming romance between Lily and Nicholas. I genuinely was concerned when the unexpected event happened that almost tore them apart. You’ll have to read for yourself to find out what that event was and how they found their way to their happily ever after.
I definitely have no qualms about recommending this book. It’s a perfect, quick read – all the better if you’re going on a cruise.

This book is about second chances, finding love, change, healing, and working towards becoming a better person.
I really liked the main characters, Lily and Nick. They were very realistic, relatable, and genuine.
Lily is a recent divorcee who wants to make big changes to her life so she decides to get a job working on a ship. Nick is a sexy, handsome, charming, charismatic, ship captain with a playboy reputation. Nick is also looking to make big changes in his life as well. Nick promises his dad that he will clean up his act and drop his naughty playboy ways. Lily and Nick meet at the job fair and there is an instant spark and connection. Although Lily isn’t exactly the normal type of girl Nick chases, he thinks she could help reform him. So when Lily officially gets the job Nick asks Lily out on a date. Since Lily would normally say no, she decides to say yes instead. Lily is trying to be more adventurous and say yes to new things.
The chemistry between Lily and Nick just leap off the page!
There is a bit of comedy thrown in and it is funny to see Nick try to be less of a playboy while Lily is trying to be less of a prude lol. Somehow they must find a way to meet in the middle.
Both of these characters are looking for second chances. Nick wants to be a better person and find love. Lily is trying to battle her own demons like getting over her divorce, healing her scars, starting over, and finding love. Both of these characters are good for each other, bring out the best in each other, and inspire each other to be better people. Isn’t that what we all want? Someone to make us want to be better every day?
This book just felt so real. You could feel all the love, pain, and emotions. I felt like I was hanging on every word and maybe even developed a little bit of a crush on Nick lol!
There are so many messages and takeaways from this book! The big ones are change, determination, hope, and second changes!
This book was such a quick and easy, but lots of fun read! I would absolutely recommend this book to anyone that enjoys contemporary romance books and is looking for an entertaining new book. However, please note that there are a few hot and steamy adult scenes that may not be appropriate for a young reader or someone who would be offended by those actions.
